FAQ
1. What flavours of cookies do you offer?
We make decorated cookies in 3 flavours: Sugar cookies, Chocolate and Ginger.
2. Can you make a copy of the cookies I have found in the Internet?
We can sure make them close to those ones you have found but with our twist.
3. Why your cookies are so expensive?
Usually the whole process from baking to drying decorated cookies takes typically up to 2 days.
The most time consuming part is actually colour mixing, not even decorating (If it goes to simple decorating techniques). For this reason, the more colours you choose the more costly cookie becomes. The final part is packaging, which sometimes requires up to 1 hour per one minimal order (For example, for individual packaging/wrapping of each cookie).
One more point to consider – it is easier to make the same design on all the cookies instead of creating individual design on each cookie. The price will be different.
4. What ingredients do you use?
Sugar cookies: wheat flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, salt, vanilla
Chocolate cookies: wheat flour, cacao, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, vanilla
Ginger cookies: wheat flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, cocoa, vanilla, salt, honey, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon
Royal icing: powdered (icing) sugar, meringue powder, water, flavours (usually vanilla, but can be any other flavour or no flavour by request).
** Most of the time we look for the best quality ingredients, preferably organic.
***The list of ingredients will be provided with each order for all other variations (as for cookie sets and cookie cakes).
We can always discuss your preferences in advance that may allow to exclude/swap something in the main recipes.
5. Do you use raw eggs in your icing?
NO. We use meringue powder in the Royal icing recipe. We do care for people’s health and we follow the safety code by Alberta Health Services.
6. Are your cookies nut-free?
We do not use any nuts in the decorated cookies, but we can offer cookies with nuts within cookie sets. Although we clean our kitchen very thoroughly to be able to lessen cross-contamination with nuts, but the kitchen itself is not a nut-free facility.
7. Do you make gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free products?
No, we do not.
8. What is the minimum order?
As per Decorated cookies:
2 dozens minimum for a medium size ~ 5-7 cm or 2”-2,7”
1 dozen- for the large ones ~10-12 cm or ~4″-4,7″
3 dozens for the mini cookies ~ 2-3 cm or 0,8″-1,2″
** Any order can be customized if you want to combine sizes

Sugar cookies and chocolate cookies are good within 3-4 weeks from the day of delivery/shipping;
Ginger cookies have a longer shelf life of 4-6 weeks because they contain natural preservatives such as honey and spices.
Keep cookies in a fridge in an air tight container for up to 2 months.
You can also freeze the cookies for up to 4 months. In rare case the icing or colours on the cookies may change their appearance due to freezing-unfreezing process.
Not knowing how exactly you are going to store them, we would prefer to say that all of the cookies are best to eat within 2 weeks if you store them at a room temperature and in a dry place.
